Claire Redfield Characters in the Resident Evil films : Claire Redfield (played by Ali Larter) is the leader of a convoy of survivors. She is based on the video game character of the same name that appears in the games Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica.

The game version of Claire is a young tomboy college student, and biker who was one of the main survivors of the Raccoon City incident; she traveled there to find her brother Chris Redfield who was a S.T.A.R.S. officer.

Fangoria magazine reported that in the film, Claire would be in search for her brother in Alaska. The film, however makes no references that would confirm or deny a similar past to that of the game, or the existence of her brother. In the actual movie itself, Claire is against the idea of going to Alaska.

Larter had no previous knowledge of Claire, nor had she played the games or seen the previous films. She accepted the role citing Claire's strong will and her liking of portraying strong female characters. Larter explains on her character Claire, "She became the leader of this convoy. She's incredibly strong, patient.

I think she serves a role for everyone within this convoy, let it be a mother to someone, a buddy, a best friend." The naturally blond Larter dyed her hair a light strawberry red to more closely match Claire's even though the game character's hair is auburn. Unlike the videogame counterpart Ali Larter's hair was not tied in a ponytail nor does she wear any colorful biker attire or travel on a motorcycle.

The character of Claire in the movie did not exist in the early draft scripts for the film and previously Jill Valentine (who appeared in Resident Evil: Apocalypse played by Sienna Guillory) would continue the role in Extinction. Later producers Paul W.S. Anderson and Jeremy Bolt decided to have a separate game character appear alongside the previous film's lead Alice (played by Milla Jovovich), saying, "We thought, rather than bring Jill back, put her with another game heroine."

In Resident Evil: Extinction, Claire leads a convoy of survivors, alongside Carlos Olivera, after the T-virus has overtaken most of the world's people. In the novelization, Claire organized the Convoy after being rescued by Carlos Olivera and L.J from a group of the undead.

Claire leads the survivors across the Nevada desert, to Las Vegas and eventually to reach sanctuary in Alaska. At the end of the film, she and the remaining members of the convoy depart in an Umbrella helicopter (which she pilots) towards Alaska; it is unknown if she succeeds in her journey.

Obsessed 2009 film: Derek Charles (Idris Elba) is the Executive Vice President of Gage Bendix, an assets management group. Derek’s life is seemingly perfect.

His diligence has resulted in a recent promotion. He leads an immaculate home life, in which he is happily married. His wife, Sharon (Beyoncé Knowles) shares in his apparent lack of flaw. The couple also have a baby son named Kyle.

All this is disturbed by the appearance of the new temporary worker, Lisa (Ali Larter), who has requested to be assigned to Derek.

Lisa’s arrival is at first unnerving, but Derek places his apprehensions as Lisa reveals an apparently innocent nature.

Unfortunately, the sexual undertones Derek first notice manifest themselves fully when Lisa attempts to seduce him, only to be thwarted when he repeatedly rejects her advances.
